We hope that this website gives the reader a better idea of what our Montessori program is about and how our school operates.
Our school prides itself on offering our students and their families a nurturing environment which challenges all of our children to do their very best work and to learn and practice the importance of being a responsible and respectful person. We have beautiful Montessori environments filled with Montessori materials that provide a hands-on approach to learning as children work from the concrete to abstract in their thinking. Our teachers help students gain independence through making good choices while learning and working in multi-aged classrooms.
Bereton Montessori is passionate about the education of all of our students, making us an extremely popular and over-subscribed choice for families. We are dedicated to the development of your child, academically, socially and spiritually.
We will produce the Total Child — children that are morally, socially, spiritually & academically sound, using state-of-the-art facilities.
A world class citadel of learning with a reputation for excellence.
Our approach to pupils is directed by the highest Christian ideals which include love and respect for one’s fellow man, service to the whole community; friendship, understanding and fair mindedness to all.
The Bereton mission is one with a human face. Montessori trained and widely experienced, Chief (Mrs) Victoria Diete-Spiff is progressive and dynamic.
In recognition of her contribution to child education in Nigeria, she was conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Yeye-llu of Lagos — Mother of all — by the Late Oba of Lagos, His Royal Highness, Adeyinka Oyekan II. The title reflects her natural affinity for children, which has become her way of life. She refers to all the pupils as “my grandchildren”. “These are children I would love to keep,” she says fondly.
This feeling is mutual, as both pupils and staff call her “Big Mummy,” and she lives up to it. Bereton parents say that part of their attraction to the school is the Managing Director’s personal interest and individual input in the education of their children. “My dream is to give the children a solid foundation in all fields of study, to make them self reliant and confident even at a tender age,” she says..
